Remaking the biographical H.C. Andersens Hus into a House of Fairytale was a massive undertaking, redefining how to represent the body of work of an artist like Andersen and, perhaps, redefining the museum experience as such.

I led the process, formulating the vision and gathering a team of artists, designers, and architects to make his fairytales come into reality.

The museum has gotten tremendous international attention, putting Odense on the international map – for instance, by making it onto The Times and N.Y. Times’ places-to-visit lists in 2021 and 2022.

I have written a bit more on the thoughts behind the museum here: https://lubker.net/2023/01/17/stimulating-imagination/
